Terms of Service

AKA Video Library

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the AKA Video Library operated by Australian Karate Academy.

By accessing the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

The Service is available only to registered members of Australian Karate Academy.
Access is granted at the discretion of the dojo administrators.
Accounts may be created for minors using a parent or guardian’s email address.

2. User Accounts

Users must:

provide accurate information
maintain confidentiality of login credentials
not share accounts with others

Administrators may suspend or terminate accounts at their sole discretion. Users do not have an automatic right to maintain access to the Service.

3. Content Ownership

All videos, instructional materials, and media provided through the Service are the intellectual property of Australian Karate Academy.

Users receive a limited, non-transferable, non-commercial license to view the content solely for personal training purposes.

4. Prohibited Conduct

Users may not:

download videos
copy or reproduce training materials
redistribute content
upload or transmit malicious software
attempt to bypass authentication systems
use the Service for commercial purposes

Violation of these rules may result in account termination.

5. Video Streaming

Video content is streamed through secure authenticated delivery using Cloudflare.

Access to content is restricted to authenticated members. Any attempt to capture, reproduce, or redistribute streamed content is prohibited.

6. Martial Arts Instruction Disclaimer

The Service provides martial arts training materials for educational purposes. Martial arts training involves inherent physical risks including injury.

By using the Service, users acknowledge that:

training techniques shown in videos may be dangerous if performed incorrectly
instruction is intended to supplement in-person training at the dojo
Australian Karate Academy is not responsible for injuries, accidents, or damages resulting from the use of instructional content on the platform.

Users participate in martial arts training at their own risk.

7. Payments (Future Features)

If paid features are introduced:

payments may be processed via Stripe
billing and refunds will be determined by the dojo administration
Membership payments do not guarantee permanent access to the Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Australian Karate Academy will not be liable for:

indirect or consequential damages
loss of data
service interruptions
unauthorized access to user accounts
injuries resulting from instructional content

9. Service Availability

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

10. Account Termination

Administrators may terminate accounts for any reason including:

violation of these Terms
misuse of the platform
termination of dojo membership

Upon termination, access to the Service will be revoked.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes relating to the Service will be subject to the jurisdiction of Australian courts.

12. Changes to These Terms

Australian Karate Academy may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any updated Terms.
